Forgive him God, he is sober now
Calculating the minutes of his being
In hard arrogance
And multiplied by sins
Please God, forgive him
For he is sober with redemption
His eyes are grey with guilt
His smile weakened from the apology yearned
He has fallen, God
He has lost
The back of his body crumbled
With heartaches he has caused
As he sobs silent tears at nights
He feels close to you and small
Learning verses of love
For you, God and for his all
Please God, forgive him
For his men couldn’t do the same
They turn their backs with angered voices
Leaving him so helpless and ashamed
Look at him differently please
He is humbly begging you now
He is a new leaf of a man
With continuously unspoken vows
The strokes near his mouth
The lines accompanying his eyes
They give away his sadness
The hollowness of his mistaken life
Calculating the minutes of his being
In hard arrogance
And multiplied by sins
Please God, forgive him
For he is sober with redemption
His eyes are grey with guilt
His smile weakened from the apology yearned
He has fallen, God
He has lost
The back of his body crumbled
With heartaches he has caused
As he sobs silent tears at nights
He feels close to you and small
Learning verses of love
For you, God and for his all
Please God, forgive him
For his men couldn’t do the same
They turn their backs with angered voices
Leaving him so helpless and ashamed
Look at him differently please
He is humbly begging you now
He is a new leaf of a man
With continuously unspoken vows
The strokes near his mouth
The lines accompanying his eyes
They give away his sadness
The hollowness of his mistaken life
