Speak of The Devil

Speak of the devil, And now he’s back
With devilish grin, His groove intact
His horns are hidden, His manners not lack
He works alone, But born in pack
He wears fine mask, Expensive, in fact
But the eyes are his, Shiny and black

In a glossy red car, He slides over town
Suavely, smoothly, Turns heads and frowns
Perfectly created, From the underground
With the main purpose: To make girls’ hearts pound
Beware, be careful, Tell all around
You sell your soul, With him you’re bound

He’ll ask nicely, You’ll think he’s fine
Give little at first, Because he looks so kind
With fresh smell of lemon, Lips red like wine
He’ll ask for more, More and more in time
With Lust and Pride you play, Greed and Gluttony you dine
And Wrath and Sloth you sleep with , And Envy in mind

But when you die, You die alone
Hopeless tears you weep, Wasted words you moan
Gone are the wines, Cash, Guns and all known
You cry for comfort , And the forgotten home
The cold air is tight, It numbs your bones
You call out to him, Then beside you he roams

He’ll pull out the mask, and say cruelly
“I’m the Devil, you see, and nothing is free
Your soul is mine, But the sins you keep
Heaven is off limit, For you to be
It’s where cupids fly, And angels meet
Your place is here, Down here with me”.
